• nouns must also have a French article with them (but, be careful... if you put "un" don't also put "le" or "mon"... likewise, if you want to say something like, "my" or "his" or "her" just use that in French, too.
• verbs need to be correctly conjugated in some tense
• adjectives need to show "agreement"
• be careful to be sure that you include enough in your sentence to make it clear what the word means (for instance, if you wanted to talk about un sofa, it wouldn't be enough to say, "I have one", or "There's one in my house" or "Ours is yellow". Instead, say something like, "When three of us sit on notre sofa in the living room, to watch TV, it's nice and comfy."
3rd Hour Only: There is a worksheet you will get from the sub.
Français 4: You will get a worksheet with a set of questions, regarding all kinds of things that were presented in the video you watched on Thursday. You should get back into the groups of 3 or 4 that you were in on our first day of this unit, and discuss together to see if you can come up with the answers (and all write them on your papers). You may also ask people from the other groups, if you are stumped, and you may use information from the note pages in your Cathédrales packet. Additionally, feel free to access the video within your groups, to try and move around within it to see if you can find the information. Here, again, is the link to the video. Remember that you have to be logged in to your PHS Google account (only), to view it. Do your best to answer as many questions as possible (chocolate may or may not be involved when I see how well each group does!), but, don't worry if you simply can't remember or can't find some of the answers.
If you end up feeling that you've done as much as possible, and there is still class time left, look at the two (seriously beautifully drawn ) images that I drew for you, and labeled, of elements of a Romanesque and of a Gothic cathedral (in your packet). Then, work on the vocab related to it, with these two Quizlet activities: French words, with Images • French vs English words
Aeeda: I am uploading the question sheet here, and you have to watch all of the video (linked above), and answer all of these questions. You will need a full hour or so to do this.
