EX:
une chaise: has four legs but isn't alive
une chaise: one person sits in it
Français 3: TEST on FRIDAY THIS WEEK -- topic: "The World of What". You'll have scrambled sentences to put in order, just like the worksheet that we did in class. If you missed class today: You need to go to THIS QUIA ACTIVITY, which is a sentence-writing activity, starting with scrambled sets of words, just like we did in class (this link, as well as one for another practice activity, is on the moodle-- last links given). NOTE: Even if you miss class days this week, you will be taking the test, because there is online practice ready and waiting for you to use :)
5th Hour: You have the vocab assignment, also (2nd hour already did it). Pick any 15 of the vocab words & phrases, and put them in a context-clear "franglais" sentence (= the target word/phrase must be in French, but the rest of the sentence can be in English). I should be able to tell what the word means, by how you use it in your sentence. Highlight/underline your French word.
Here's an example, with the word une chaise:
GOOD: Our table seats 6, so nous avons six chaises around it. (<-- I can tell what chaise means!)
NOT GOOD: We have six chaises in our house. (<--How can I tell what chaise means?)
Français 4: Finish translating the 18 French imparfait/conditionnel sentences on the two-sided sheet (the back, now). You were to have already highlighted the word si when it appears, circled the imparfait, and underlined the conditional.
