Français 4: RECIPEs & Verbs TEST: Thursday. This will NOT have the vocabulaire des articles de cuisine. This is verb usage and expressions, etc., from recipes. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY (Casey! Kinzi!): I am attaching a highlighted copy of the recipe, Tarte aux Poireaux*, from your packet. Instead of translating this one, you are re-writing all of the highlighted verbs, into the passé composé for je (like the worksheet we recently did).
So, for example:
Remuez-la ----> Je l'ai remuée .
Mettez-y --> J'y ai mis
Battez-les ---> Je les ai battus
You do not have to write a translation out.
*NOTE: une Tarte aux Poireaux is a quiche with leeks in it... you just clean them, cut them up, sauté them, and put them on a pie crust, then cover with Quiche mixture (eggs beaten with cream), and bake. Here is an example of a slice of one. By the way, one of the steps is to "creuser une fontaine dans la farine". That just means to make a hollow spot in the center of your pile of flour, so that you can put a liquid or egg mixture in the center, and then pull it in to the flour. Like you see for this recipe.
