Français 4: If you were in class today, finish these directions for the next recipe, the Soufflé au Fromage:
• On the recipe itself:
-- Find the command verbs & highlight them
-- Find present participles & highlight them in a different color
-- Find the past participle adjectives & highlight them in a third color (or circle them)
THEN: On SEPARATE PAPER:
-- write out the command verbs you found, and translate them
-- write out the present participles you found, and translate them
-- write out the past participle adjectives you found, and translate them
Jayden and Victoria (only):
ALSO do these instructions for BOTH the Soufflé recipe, AND for the Croque Monsieur recipe, before it:
ALSO (on that SEPARATE PAPER):
- Write out the quantities of the ingredients, in FRENCH, and then with their American measurement equivalent.
- Write out utensils and appliances from our “Les Articles de Cuisine” vocab, that would be used for this recipe (judging by the actions!), and translate them
Do this for the Croque Monsieur recipe, as well... and try to translate the whole thing.
NOTE:
Repartissez= spread out, distribute
une face= one side
Faites dorer= is another verb that needs FAIRE for the human doing it, and it means "Brown it [for baked items in an oven]
ils doivent= they must/they should be
brûler = to burn
