Français 3: For TWO (only) of your married couples that you brought in the names of for Monday, write two statements in French, in the passé composé, saying (X) married (Y) and (X) got married to/with (y). CAREFUL! Look at your medieval vocab notes to remember how these are expressed differently. (Make up or provide a real date or year that they got married, too. Introduce years with en... and dates with le....
Français 4: Finish the Exercice E worksheet I handed out in class--don't forget to translate!. Aeeda, it's attached below, but you should stop by and see me for direction.
Français 4: Voici vos activités EN CLASSE aujourd'hui: Work with these four activities that practice le conditionnel -- they are the last four links on the new unit on the moodle. Have your new notes out! These practice both the regular and irregular formations. TAKE SELF VIDEOS, and you can even get out your phones and take quick videos of each other playing :) Do ALL of the activities. Do a VARIETY of games with the QUIZLETs. Challenge yourselves! Start to learn this tense. Do activities all hour. If you get tired of doing them online after 25 minutes or so, you can quiz each other somehow... hangman? races? Just stay on task and make everyone think.
Français 3: Please find out the marriage dates of three couples (famous, or in your family). A year is good enough, or a month and year, or the actual date. C'est tout!
Français 4: Pas de devoir ce weekend.
Français 3: Please practice the vocab online every night.
Français 4: Think French thoughts! Tomorrow in class, be ready to tell me SOMETHING (Anything!) in French :) Something you did, pendant a certain amount of time, maybe [ watched X show? did homework? ate XY or Z for dinner? read a book called XYZ for X amount of time? wrote a poem called XYZ? etc.], or maybe something you are GOING TO DO ce weekend? avec qui? Ou bien (= or), ask me a question! This is for a little grade :) Impress us!
Français 3: Required Quizlet practice with medieval vocab. 12-15 minutes. Please make a screen video as you play, or have a short note, text, or email to me, verifying that you did it.
Français 4: Pas de devoirs, puisque nous avons eu une épreuve aujourd'hui!
Français 3: Test/quiz on qui, que, dont on Monday.
Français 4: Cathedrals test on Monday (even if you were absent on Friday!)
TESTS: The French 4 test on cathedrals AND The French 3 quiz on qui, que, dont are both now postponed until Monday. (And, this Friday, February 1, is an A day.)
PLEASE NOTE: Thursday and Friday are both now A days. Both tests mentioned here will remain on the days posted below. See you demain !
Français 3: TEST on Friday on qui / que / dont (short test). We will have a little more practice in class on Thursday. If you missed class today, you missed about 25 minutes of the movie. This movie is not just entertainment, it is the base of our whole history unit. So, if you missed class today, I urge you to go here, to rent the movie for $2.99, from Amazon Prime, if you have it. If you watched yesterday, then you can start at scene 9, and watch about 30 minutes at least, of the movie. If you can't watch at home, you'll need to arrange to stay after school and watch the 30 minutes that you missed, with me.
Français 4: Our test is postponed until Thursday (if anyone is absent Thursday, we will still have the test, and absent students will need to stay after school with me to take the test. Today, we began our new unit, so if you were absent today, you will still be expected to take the test on Thursday, since you didn't miss any more class time with that unit.)
Français 4: I have a family emergency and need to be with my husband.During class today, please look over the note sheets in your packet, to familiarize yourself with the vocab words. Then, go to my post from last Friday, and do both of those 2 Quizlets that I linked to, numerous times. THEN: Go to our QUIA page, and practice with the two activities there... same info, different kinds of activities. Do a self video (or two or three). AFTER YOU HAVE SPENT 25 MINUTES TOTAL, ON THAT: Split yourselves up into 3 groups, and play hangman with each other, with this vocab. You MAY have notes out, of course. Use the board if you want to-- you can erase anything other than the objectives for my three classes. (Check back here tomorrow, in case I am not here tomorrow.) Merci!
