Français 4: Test over les participes et la voix passive, lundi. I ADDED 2 NEW (and very helpful!) ACTIVITIES to the top of the QUIA page. One helps you practice making sentences with the participles, and one helps you form adjectives with both kinds of participles. Here is that page of activities, again (the link is also on the moodle).
Français 3: Test over Passé Simple, lundi. Mardi: Final exam for 2nd hour; Mercredi: Final exam for 3rd hour.
Français 3: 3rd Hour class only: Be sure that you have that second sheet (p. 170-71) of the Harry Potter reading finished (the examples of the passé simple tense, highlighted and charted). Of course, every night, be studying with Quizlet and Quia for the Passé Simple tense, and the final exam.
Français 3:
2nd Hour: Study online for Monday's passé simple test. It would also be smart to look at the next page of Harry Potter and look for examples of passé simple, because we'll be charting that in class next time. 3rd Hour: Passé Simple worksheet with mixed regular/irregular (that the sub forgot to give you). ALSO: Study online for Monday's passé simple test. Français 4: Continue worksheet that we did part of last night: Do any 6 of the remaining sentences in the 10-20 section. HIGHLIGHTERS! Be sure that you have a yellow (or orange, if need be) highlighter. We will be using yellow, blue, and pink in class next time. Français 4: DURING CLASS TODAY: After doing the worksheet handed out in class, please work on this QUIA activity. I need to see a self-video, including the final score. If you do not get to it during class, please do it for homework.
Français 3: 3rd Hour class only! : Finish the charting of the 18 examples of passé simple. Remember... if your verb ends in -ais or -ait, it is imparfait, not passé simple.
Français 3: Plus-que parfait sentence examples handed out in class. Do the yellow and blue highlighting (if you don't have highlighters, underline passé composé, and circle plus-que parfait). TRANSLATE THESE FOUR: # 1, 2, 9, 10. (ALSO: Every night, you should be doing Quizlet and Quia practice with the passé simple forms.) IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY: Please do about 15 minutes of practice with this Quizlet activity (choose the WRITE game, go to the OPTIONS, and set it to "answer with ENGLISH"... each time, you're given the je/tu, il, and ils forms of a verb, in the passé simple. You have to give the English translation, and the French infinitive.) ALSO: Look at the attached notes, about how to form the new tense, the plus-que parfait, and try to do the assignment above. Français 4:
Français 3: Passé Simple irregulars chart worksheet.
Français 4: Worksheet with green infinitives and present and past participle adjectives to translate. Français 3: Worksheet handed out in class today, recognizing irregular passé simple forms.
Français 4: Worksheet handed out in class today, using present participles. Just do numbers 1 through 4. Translate! Be sure to use the "by.....ing" translation (NOT "while.... ing"). So, you conjugate the FIRST verb given, in PRESENT tense, then put the next verb into present participle form. EX: Elle / apprendre/ (écouter les podcasts en chinois). Elle apprend le chinois en écoutant les podcasts en chinois. = She learns Chinese by listening to podcasts in Chinese. |
