Français 3: Il n'y a pas de devoir!
Français 4: Just be sure that the sentences on the back of the recent worksheet, are all translated (carefully!).
Français I: Il n'y a pas de devoir! (Unless you were in ISS or missed class Wednesday -- you will have to watch that Paris video and do the worksheet with it-- see Wednesday night's assignment for link and attached worksheet).
Français 3: Il n'y a pas de devoir! Français 4: Just be sure that the sentences on the back of the recent worksheet, are all translated (carefully!). Français 4: Please carefully translate the front side sentences... or however many I told you to do. Was it the full front side? nine? Also, be sure that all sentences, front and back, have the tenses circled/underlined, as indicated. Merci :)
Français 1: If you missed class Wednesday (or are in ISS), you need to go to this web page and watch the video that is already selected to play (called, "Paris: Regal & Intimate"). The video is 30 minutes, and there is a question sheet (uploaded below) to go with it. If there is any problem playing this while at school, you are responsible for watching it at home. If you missed the test due to absence, you will have to arrange to stay after school Thursday or Friday of this week, to take it (and I'll give you an extension on the video to have it due the Tuesday after spring break). Français 3: Test Wednesday (5th hour) and Thursday (2nd hour), as described in previous days. Français 4: The assignment that is due Thursday, is a self video of a MEANINGFUL amount of time spent practicing with the Quizlet and Quia activities for Renaissance history (they are the last two links on the moodle).
Français I: TEST WEDNESDAY: Adjectives.... know what they all mean, if you see them in French; know where to place them in a sentence or question; know how to make "agreement" (changing the end of the adjective to "agree" with the item it is describing). These are good practice activities: this Quizlet (do WRITE game, with option set to "answer with DEFINITION"); This Quizlet activity for full sentences (be sure to make yourself write out annswers in French ; This QUIA activity is helpful, too. Français 3: If you missed class: Go to THIS QUIA to practice sentences with what . Take a screen shot, or a photo with your phone, to show me your final score. EVERYONE: Test this week on the long day (even if you missed class one day this week), making sentences with what phrases. Just like the Quia activity, and the practice handout we had, you will have scrambled parts in French, that you need to put together into a sentence/question, inserting the correct phrase for what (and you'll translate the sentence). Français 4: If you missed class today: We worked on the attached worksheet. You must provide a French conditionnel statement (using je ) to tell what you WOULD do in each case.... you must translate BOTH the given French, and the new French that you write.
Français 1: Homework: Go to this Quizlet. Select any 10 sentences. Write them out fully in French, and in English, AND circle or highlight any changes that were made to the adjectives to make them "agree". IF YOU ARE IN ISS: Do that same Quizlet, the same way, except write ALL of the sentences out. ALSO: Go to THIS QUIZLET, and do it... you must use the WRITE activity, and you must go to OPTIONS and set to "Answer with DEFINITION".... you're not really giving a definition, what you're actually doing is giving the feminine plural form of the adjective that you are given... you'll first get the adjective in masculine, singular... change it to feminine, plural (EX: you get grand .... you write grandes )
You must take a screen shot to show me your score at the end of playing. Français 3: Français 4: Français 1: Finish the rest of the sets of three vocab words (you have done 30, you should end up with 38).
Français 3: 5th Hour: Test is on Friday. Be sure you know about Eleanor of Acquitaine's rock crystal and gold vase (it's on the Quizlet). Français 4: Please go first to this QUIA matching game, and video yourself playing about 6 or 8 times. Then, go to this Quizlet, and play however you'd like, for some more time (video yourself). Get about 20 minutes total of practice, between the two activities. Français 1: Finish the rest of the sets of three vocab words (you have done 30, you should end up with 38). Français 3: TEST DATE HAS BEEN MOVED UP! (Histoire médiévale) 2nd Hr: Test is now THURSDAY (le 15 mars) 5th Hour: Test is still on Friday. Aisha: I've attached one of our note sheets, on which I indicated which bits of info you do NOT need to know, from that sheet. Everything else that we have had, you do need to know. Français 4: Please do the rest of last night's homework worksheet. Be sure to translate!
Français 1: Activity 8 (ONLY!) on the handout given in class. You need to start each sentence with the two words, "Je préfère..." IN ADDITION TO THE DIRECTIONS ON THE SHEET: circle or highlight the changes that were made to the adjective to make it "agree"; translate the whole sentence. Français 3: 2nd Hr: Study however you would like for the upcoming test on Friday. 5th Hour: Please follow the directions given last Thursday for 2nd hour, directing students to a particular QUIA activity, and requiring you to play the full game twice, and provide screen shots of the final score (NOTE: Because They had a long weekend, and you have only overnight, you may stop at 30 minutes, even if you haven't fully finished playing the second game. Realize, however, that you do have a test over this material on Friday!) Français 4: Please do Numbers 1-8 of the attached worksheet (already given out in class, if you were here)-- Exercice E. Note that the directions I have given, amend it to ask you to start EACH sentence with the phrase, "Si je pouvais choisir..." (which you should translate as, "If I could choose..."), then finish off with the CONDITIONAL of the verb given in infinitive form.... and then you choose between the two options for the rest of the sentence (EX: for number 1, you'd either say, "I would have a sports car" or you'd say, "I would have a villa on the Côte d'Azur [the south of France]".... look at the EXEMPLE to see how this looks. NOTE: the futur/conditionnel stem for the verb envoyer (#6), is "enverr____" JACOB ONLY: I also need you to do some review that we did on QUIA. Please do a self video, or screen shots of the final score. First, do some matching practice with this activity, to refresh for yourself what the futur/conditional irregular stems are (remember, they share the same stems, but use different endings). We did that about 10 times in class. THEN: Please do this Rags-to-Riches activity, until you hit 1-million Euros. I made that activity to really focus you on recognizing the different tenses you know.
Français 3: 2nd Hour-- Go to this link to play the QUIA Challenge Board #2, for history and facts. PLAY THE FULL GAME at least TWICE...as a ONE PLAYER game. You must either show me a self-video of you playing, or save screen shots from the last screen, for EACH of the TWO GAMES you play (you will have a slightly different set of questions each time you play). (Aisha: Just send me screen shots, or save video to your drive, and share with me).
Français 1: Be sure to have 30 sets done on your 3X-each activity with the vocab (eventually, the whole thing will be about 38 sets).
Français 3: 2nd Hr: Do the first 4 of the scrambled what sentences & questions (attached on the post for mardi ). Don't forget to translate! (Aisha, I will email this to you.) 5th Hour: Be sure that ALL OF those scrambled what sentences are done, and study for upcoming tests. Français 4: Finish the reading on Montrichard that was handed out in class today, by Monday's class. Thursday (tomorrow), many of you will be absent, so those of you in class will have that period to work on reading it... everyone needs to just have it read by Monday. |
