All classes: I will be absent through Nov 26. I have left numerous activities with our sub, Madame Coreggia. If you are absent any of these days, it is your responsibility to ask her for the missed assignment (or, it will be counted as a zero). Merci!
Français 1: No homework.
Français 3: Study for this week's 2 tests. Français 4: Aaron and Cecilia, please check your school email. Français 1: Read the notes in your packet about the days of the week, the months, and how to phrase the date in French (also read the related phrases and questions in the notes on the pages). These are on packet pages 13, 14, 15 (printouts of book pages 61, 62, & 63). You will also find links on the moodle for short videos that pronounce these words. Be sure to note on your own packet pages, that we do NOT capitalize the days of the week, or the months. No other homework this weekend. Français 3: Be sure to read the calendar update for Wednesday/Thursday of this week, about the two tests next week. Note that I attached a detailed explanation onto that calendar post. ALSO: I am attaching, here, a set of sentences to use to practice with. We did about 5 or 6 of them together, in class. Use them to help you see how well you know this material, but we will continue going over them on Monday. You should DEFINITELY be using the links on the moodle, in that folder of 5 activities (don't focus on the past participles though... that is old stuff, and I just put that there to help you have a quick review, if you have time) FINALLY: I'm also attaching a set of vocab related to the Harry Potter books/movies. Français 4: Please be practicing all of the Quizlets related to our unit.
Français 1: Whatever I gave you in class! Français 3: 2 tests next week! Read the attached description of the tests, below. Français 4: Read through "Lecture A" to see how much you understand, thinking constantly about noticing the different tenses and grammatical structures you see. You don't have to write anything, and you don't have to understand everything yet.
Français 1: Be sure those notes for page 17 are filled in. Isabelle, I emailed you back :)
Français 3: Every night, you should be doing some online practicing with Quizlets and Quias related to our Imparfait VS Passé Composé unit. Français 4: It would be smart to get practice in with the Quizlets we've been using. Français 1: TEST Friday. See Tuesday's post for details. Be sure you know what all of the -er infinitives mean, when you see them in French, and how to conjugate all of your verbs. Be sure that you know your subject pronouns, and QUI and TOUT LE MONDE, and know what the different parts of a sentence are called. Practice activities on the moodle.
Français 3: 2nd AND 3rd Hour classes: Be sure that 7 of those sentences from class are finished (the first 7... go in order). Translate AND tell the reason why the verbs are the tense that they are. Français 4: Please finish all 20 sentences on our participe présent worksheet. Français 1: Practice (with Quizlet and QUIA) for Friday's test on conjugating -er verbs, and knowing the terminology of the parts of speech (terminaison, ending, conjugated verb, etc. ).
Français 3: 10 minutes of practicing THIS QUIZLET, using the WRITE game, set to ANSWER IN FRENCH. Take a self video of the screen to show me in class next time. Français 4: Finish the first two activities on the worksheet, and be sure to TRANSLATE according to directions (HINT: en gets two different translations) Français 1: Do the last four conjugation sets tonight (verbs number 22, 23, 24, 25).
Français 3: Finish those two worksheet activities... just the top two (about le 14 juillet and about things peope play during vacations). TRANSLATE EVERYTHING INTO ENGLISH, also. Français 4: Pick any two of the verbs on the worksheet I handed out, and write the infinitive's meaning, and the translation of each of the two participle adjectives given. |
