• Underline or highlight the "target" word and its article (article means the word for a, the, or my )
• Use a FRENCH article!! and then DON'T use an English one, since you have a French one! (So, don't say "my la chaise" or "the le dictionnaire")
• Translate the "target word", in parentheses, at the end
• Make sure that you say enough in your franglais sentence, that we could easily figure out what your vocab word means, if we didn't know.
EX:
I love to drink mon café with lots of cream! (my coffee)
This example uses a word that is not from our current list, just as an example. We used mon because that's the way to say my for a masculine word. By talking about drinking it, and adding cream, we really help show what the word café might mean. If you just said, "She bought un café." there would not be enough information for us to guess what that word meant.... because you can buy just about anything!
Français 3: A worksheet is attached below, with two activities. You will be using que or qu' in each of the sentences in both of the activities. Much fuller instructions are included on the paper. Here are a few key vocabulary words to help:
• actrice = actress
• acteur = actor
• matière = school subject
• des gens = people
Remember: You are conjugating the verbs in PRESENT tense, not passé composé or imparfait. The "je" form in present tense, for comprendre, is je comprends, and for connaître is je connais.
(If you missed class on Tuesday, I would love for this to be done by Thursday, but you can have until Friday if you really, really have to have that extra time."
