Then, look carefully at page 206. These are the forms of the irregular verb aller, which I have already given you on a big verb chart note page. Please take a close look at the three expressions that are listed at the bottom of the page. You'll be doing something with those tomorrow.
Then... Look at page 208 (handed out in class today). Carefully review the notes at the top about how to use à to express to the. Find your notes (recently given to you) on the names of places (like le café, la plage, la piscine, etc.). Do Activité 3. Carefully compare the example to the first image that the example is talking about. Each time, you're going to have one friend ask the other, for EVERYONE : "Are you going to the ___? [<-- the place shown in the top half of the box for that number]. Then, the friend will answer with, "No, I'm going to the _____." [<-- the place shown in the bottom half of the box for that number.] Be CAREFUL about how you express "to the"! If it's a masculine place, you use au instead of à la. TRANSLATE both the question and the answer each time. (NOTE: If you don't have your notes on the words for the new places we're learning, go to that same folder on the moodle, and download book page 197, and/or the "Unité 5 vocab summary" sheet.
FRANÇAIS 3: Don't forget! TEST TOMORROW on the world of Me/You. Just like the "WHAT" test... scrambled info, you put together in correct order, inserting the correct word for ME or YOU, as required. For practice in class today, we went to our QUIA page, and did the FIRST activity... it's a QUIZ style activity, using jumbled parts of a sentence... just like the test will be.
